The Inside Sales Representative will improve market position and achieve financial growth. Define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, through team efforts helps negotiates and close business deals maintaining extensive knowledge of current fastener market conditions. An Inside Sales Representative job entails selling or introducing new corporate products or services to established clients. The customers communicate with an Inside Sales Representative to request orders, quotations, order status updates, and lead times by fax, telephone, online, or e-mail. This job is to build quotations on standard products, write orders, conduct outbound cold calling, develop customer relationships, manage inbound sales calls, and communicate pertinent information on customer activities. An Inside Sales Representative oversees the project execution actions and overall coordination between Customer Service Department, Materials, Operations, and the Outside Sales Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and accomplishing a region lead generation plan, meeting or exceeding monthly or annual targets.
  • Participating fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes.
  • Identifying decision makers amongst the targeted leads to start sales process.
  • Cooperating with Business Development Manager and Sales Supervisor to determine essential strategic approaches for sales.
  • Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects for the organization.
  • Outbound and inbound call account management; Processing of quotes along with quote terms in the LCF system database.
  • Supporting the reseller communication channel throughout the sales interval. This should be done monthly and tracking new sales because of this action.
  • Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on market situation.
  • Handling cancellations or changes in sales order and communicating the changes with the related departments.
  • Coordinating with customer service for status on orders from related plant departments in ensuring the delivery commitment to clients is met; LCF Quality Assurance Program!
  • Collating and consolidating report on monthly sales performance per sales personnel, per product, per region or office, and per industry.
  • Emphasizing service or product features and benefits, discussing credit terms, quoting prices, and preparing sales order reports or forms.
  • Capturing accurate and complete information in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). When available depending on the computer system being utilized.
  • Attending industry conferences to develop industry expertise and to build network. As needed.
  • Develop online sales and customers through e-mail follow-up, up sell online customers, and identify potential larger distributors/roll formers for Outside Sales.

Skills and Specifications:

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    Highly proficient level computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent telephone sales personality skills.
    Should be expert in CRM software solutions or a facsimile of thereof.
  • Prominent organization and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Highly energetic and initiative-taker.
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
  • Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities.
  • Articulate and able to manage multiple Outbound/Inbound phone logs.
  • Should be honest, assertive, and systematic. Team Player a must!

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or math
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Very strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Team player and multi-tasker
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word
    (Intermediate to advanced Excel skills an advantage)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and administrative skills
  • Experience with accounting and ERP software
