WET FIT APPLICATION:

Fitting: Remove interfering shingle fasteners around the perimeter of the roof opening. Depending on the application, apply a continuous bead of sealant along the bottom of the flange, then slide the top of the boot up and under the shingle. Allow the bottom flange to rest on top of the shingles, or trim the shingle as needed for a proper fit.

MOUNTING:

Care should be taken to keep the boot properly aligned. Secure the Bullet Boot using carbon or stainless Pro-Cliplok roofing fasteners, spaced 16” on center, with a minimum of three fasteners per side, located no more than 1” from the outer edge of the flange and 1.5” from each corner. Apply sealant to all shingle edges. In severe weather and coastal hurricane zones, seal the entire perimeter, beneath the flange, and around the outer edges with sealant. Seal all exposed carbon or stainless fastener heads (optional) with sealant to provide long-lasting moisture protection and corrosion resistance.

Dektite SHR

The Dektite SHR is expertly designed to provide a robust and versatile solution for flashing around roof penetrations, particularly in shingle roof retrofit applications. With its capacity to accommodate a pipe OD range of 0-5 inches and a substantial 15″ x 15″ base, it is exceptionally suited for various roofing tasks, such as electrical masts and re-roofing projects. The Dektite SHR is available in black and is crafted from a proprietary polymer material, ensuring full compatibility with asphalt shingles.
